MELISSA COMPTON-PASKO

Melissa Compton-Pasko, a dual sport student-athlete in field hockey and women’s lacrosse, played for the Pride from 1991 through 1995. During her four-year career on the women’s lacrosse team, Melissa scored 94 goals, which ranks 11th all-time, and recorded 123 points. She was also a member of the 1995 IWLCA Academic All-America squad.
 
Melissa led the team in scoring as a junior, tallying 27 goals and 15 assists for 42 points. As a sophomore and senior, she was second on the team with 28 (25 G, 3 A) and 41 (35 G, 6 A) points, respectively.
 
During her field hockey career, Melissa was a first team Regional All-American in 1993, and a member of the NFHCA National Academic Team in 1993 and 1994. She recorded 12 goals and four assists in her four years, including a personal best five goals and two assists as a junior in 1993.
 
Following graduation, Melissa passed the CPA Exam and worked in the accounting and finance industry for seven years. In 2003 she went back to school to earn a nursing degree and graduated in 2005.
 
In July 2005 she began her nursing career at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and is currently a critical care nurse in the cardiovascular recovery room.
