The all-time leading scorer in Hofstra men’s basketball history, Charles Jenkins scored 2,513 points between 2007 and 2011. Just the 63rd player in NCAA history to record more than 2,500 points, Jenkins ranks second in Colonial Athletic Association history in scoring behind basketball legend David Robinson.

A two-time Honorable Mention All-American, he was the CAA Player of the Year as a junior and senior and a three-time All-CAA First Team selection. Jenkins earned CAA and Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Rookie of the Year accolades in 2008.

Jenkins would then go on to win the Haggerty Award as the top player in the New York Metro area in each of the next three years, becoming just the third three-time winner in Haggerty Award history.

He would become the first active player at Hofstra to have his jersey retired, when his No. 22 was raised to the rafters before his final home game in 2011.

In addition to his record point total, the Queens, New York, native also added 551 rebounds, 489 assists, and 213 steals during his illustrious career.

Jenkins was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft. He played for Golden State during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons before getting traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in February 2013.

In July 2013, Jenkins began a nearly decade-long career overseas by signing with the Serbian team Crvena zvezda Belgrade, which he had three stints with during his career. He also played in Italy, Russia, Greece, and Spain during his European career. Jenkins holds dual citizenship with the United States and Serbia.

He was part of three Serbian Cup winning teams and two Serbian League championship squads. In 2017, he was an All-Adriatic League selection and the Adriatic League Finals Most Valuable Player. He was also part of two Adriatic League championships, one Italian League championship team, and one Italian Cup winning team.
