The Fried Center, located on the second floor of the James C. Metzger Hall at James M. Shuart Stadium is available for use by all of Hofstra's student-athletes and has a capacity of nearly 150. The facility, which opened in 2010, is the home for academic and career development pursuits and also houses the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Athletic Department's community service program.
The Fried Family Student-Athlete Development Center is a 3,000-square foot facility with 12 computer workstations, three laser printers, two private conference rooms for tutorial assistance, a group study area, 40 individual workstations and a full-time University staff of three to assist Hofstra's student-athletes with their academic, social and post-graduate endeavors. The entire facility is also equipped with wireless internet access.
