Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team will step out of CAA play this weekend when the Pride hosts #20 Sacred Heart. 

Opening face-off from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Hofstra is 2-6 this season following a narrow one-goal, 13-12, loss to Monmouth last Saturday. Anthony Mollica and Gus Langtry each tallied four points on two goals and two assists to lead the way for the Pride, while Blake Cooling had five ground balls and two caused turnovers and Will Delaney added three ground balls and three caused turnovers. 

Sacred Heart, ranked No. 20 nationally by the USILA, is 9-0 this season after defeating Manhattan, 13-5, on Wednesday. Will Moulton led the Pioneers with five points on three goals and two assists, while John Murray added three goals. 

Hofstra is 14-0 all-time against Sacred Heart in a series that began in 2002. The teams last met in 2022 with the Pride earning a 21-9 victory over the Pioneers.
