3/12/2026 10:00:00 AM

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team will open CAA play in a big way as the Pride will head east to face Stony Brook on Friday evening.

Opening face-off from LaValle Stadium is set for 6:31 p.m.

The game will air on FloCollege and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to the broadcasts, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's lacrosse schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra improved to 2-4 with an 11-10 win over UMBC this past Saturday. Anthony Mollica led the way offensively with six goals, while Blake Cooling was tremendous defensively with five ground balls, four caused turnovers, and a goal. The Pride has already played three one-goal games this season.

Stony Brook is 3-3 this season and most recently defeated Binghamton, 9-6, this past Saturday. Kian McCoy had three points on two goals and one assist to lead the Seawolves.

The Pride leads the all-time series with the Seawolves, 9-6, in a series that began in 2004. Hofstra has won two straight and three of the last four in the series with Stony Brook. Last year's meeting was a 13-12 double overtime victory for the Pride. Over the last six meetings, the two teams are separated by just one goal (75-74 in favor of Hofstra).
