Streaking Hofstra Heads To Stony Brook For Huge CAA Series

| By:
Hempstead, NY - Riding a season-best four-game winning streak, the Hofstra University baseball team heads east for a crucial three-game Coastal Athletic Association series at Stony Brook. Game one is set for Friday at 2 p.m., with game two Saturday at 1 p.m., and game three Sunday at 12 p.m. All three games will be streamed live on FloBaseball and live statistics will also be available.

Hofstra enters the weekend series with an overall record of 18-27 and a CAA mark of 8-10. The Pride is currently in eighth-place with nine league games remaining, Stony Brook is 22-20 overall and 10-8 in the CAA. The Seawolves are in fifth-place currently. The top six teams will qualify for the CAA Championship.

The Pride is coming off a midweek 4-3 win at Seton Hall as Alex McCoy drove in three runs on three singles and Luke Masiuk hit an inside the park home run. As part of a staff day, reliever Cade Henry picked up the win with Mike McKenna notching his seventh save.

Stony Brook has lost three consecutive games including a 13-7 contest at Fairfield this past Tuesday.

Hofstra and Stony Brook have met 36 times with each team winning 18 games. The Pride took two of three games from the Seawolves last season at University Field.
