Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team kicks off its 29-game 2024-25 season on Monday, November 4, from inside the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex against Sacred Heart.
Tip-off against the Pioneers is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday's contest is part of a doubleheader with the Pride men's basketball team, who hosts SUNY Old Westbury at 5 p.m.

Hofstra won 11 games last season and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the CAA Women's Basketball Championship for the fifth consecutive season.
Danielle Santos Atkinson returns to the sidelines for her sixth season as head coach of Hofstra's women's basketball team. The Pride returns five from last season's squad, headlined by
Emma Von Essen and
Zyheima Swint, while welcoming five transfers and four true freshmen to the roster for the 2024-25 season.
Sacred Heart went 24-10 last season and won the NEC Championship for the second consecutive season. The Pride is 3-3 all time against Sacred Heart, including last season's 63-60 defeat to the Pioneers in Fairfield, Connecticut.
