3/14/2026 9:30:00 PM

Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team looks to cap off a magical March run with a conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship as the Pride faces off against Charleston in the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship Game.

Tip-off in the title game is scheduled for 2 p.m. from CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

The game will air nationally on the CBS Sports Network, and WRHU will carry an audio-only broadcast of the contest on the HAWC. Links to all, as well the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the women's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Sunday will be Hofstra's second-ever appearance in the CAA Championship Game and first since 2015. Hofstra made history by being the lowest-seeded team to ever reach the semifinals and championship game of the CAA Championship.

The top-seed in the tournament and the CAA regular season champions, Charleston improved to 26-5 with a 79-49 win over Stony Brook in the other semifinal. CAA Player of the Year Taryn Barbot led the Cougars in scoring with 24 points and tied Grace Ezebilo in rebounding with seven, while her sister Taylor Barbot dished out 11 assists. Charleston enters Sunday on a four-game winning streak and winners of six in their last seven.

Sunday will be the 22nd all-time meeting between Hofstra and Charleston. The Cougars lead the all-time series, 12-9, and have won the last five meetings. Charleston and Hofstra opened their 2025-26 CAA schedules against each other on January 2 in Charleston, with the Cougars coming out on top 72-55.
