Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University junior Steve Harrington has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week it was announced today by the league office. 

Harrington batted .500 (8-16) with four doubles, two home runs, and 11 RBIs in Hofstra's 3-1 week. The Clark, New Jersey, native belted a grand slam in a win over LIU, was 3-for-5 and drove in three runs in a victory over Manhattan, and was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, and four RBIs as the Pride rallied to beat UNCW, 8-7, Friday in game one of a doubleheader.

Harrington, who is batting .314 on the season, has reached base in 35 consecutive games. He leads the Pride with six home runs and 31 RBIs.
