Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team will have a lot riding on its regular season finale on Saturday as the Pride will host Stony Brook under the lights with a spot in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship on the line. 

Hofstra controls its own destiny as it attempts to earn a spot in the conference tournament. Depending on results from around the league, the Pride can be the two, three, or four seed with a victory. 

Opening face-off for this Saturday night special will be 7 p.m.

Hofstra has won three of its last four games to even its CAA mark at 3-3 and put it in a position to earn one of the four spots in the conference tournament. The Pride has an overall record of 5-8 following its 15-4 win over Hampton this past Saturday. Colton Rudd posted five points on one goal and four assists in the win, while Matt Elder, Sterlyn Ardrey, John Veit, and John Madsen all chipped in with two goals. 

Stony Brook is 7-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play following a 17-14 win over Fairfield on April 22. Dylan Pallonetti had six points on five goals and one assist to lead the Seawolves. 

Hofstra is 7-5 all-time against Stony Brook in a series that began in 2004. The Pride won the last meeting, 20-17, during the 2021 campaign.
