4/24/2023 5:04:00 PM

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Baseball team starts another action-packed week with a road game at LIU Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at LIU Baseball Stadium. The Pride will then face Manhattan on the road Wednesday night at 7 p.m., before returning home to host CAA-leading UNCW in a three-game set starting Friday afternoon.

The game will stream live on NEC Front Row with live statistics also available. Links for both can be found above or on the baseball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra (17-22) is coming off losing three games at Northeastern this past weekend. Prior to that series, Hofstra had been on a seven game winning streak. On the subject of streaks, senior shortstop Michael Florides has been on fire at the plate and enters the week with a nine-game hitting streak that has brought his average up to .312. Over the nine games, Florides is batting .531 (17-32).

The Sharks of LIU are 12-25 on the season. LIU won two of three games from Merrimack this past weekend. The game marks the wind of an eight-game homestand for the Sharks.

Hofstra is 2-3 against LIU since the LIU Brooklyn and LIU Post athletic departments merged. The teams played each other four times last season with the Sharks winning three games.
