Hempstead, NY - Following a 13-0 win over Charleston in the opening game of the 2026 CAA Championship, the Hofstra University baseball team will take on Northeastern in its next game. The fifth-seeded Pride and second-seeded Huskies will square off Thursday at 7 p.m. at Brooks Field in Wilmington, North Carolina. The game will stream live on FloCollege.

Hofstra (21-27) rode the strong pitching of Carlos Martinez, who allowed three hits over six shutout innings, and three RBI games from CJ Griggs and Nick Biddle to a rout of the fourth-seeded Cougars.

Northeastern (34-19) had a first round bye after winning the CAA North.

This will be the seventh meeting between the teams this season with each squad winning three games.

Hofstra will send freshman Nick Reese to the mound, while the Huskies will counter with Robbie O'Connor.
