Hempstead, NY - It will be Tuesday under the lights at James M. Shuart Stadium this week as the Hofstra men's lacrosse team will play host to Syracuse.

Opening face-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

For ticket information visit HofstraTickets.com, call (516) HOF-TIXX, or stop by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The first 50 Pride fans in attendance will receive a free Hofstra seat cushion!

The game will air on Lacrosse TV and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to both, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's lacrosse schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is 2-4 on the season after dropping a 15-8 decision to #15 Villanova in its last game on March 4. That loss ended a short two-game win streak for the Pride. John Madsen leads the team in scoring with 19 points on 13 goals and six assists, while Gerard Kane is second with 18 points on nine goals and nine assists. Mac Gates has played every second in goal for the Pride this season and has totaled 67 saves in Hofstra's six games.

Syracuse is 3-4 on the season and most recently dropped an 11-9 decision to #11 Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

This will mark the 17th meeting between Hofstra and Syracuse in men's lacrosse with the Orange holding a 12-4 advantage in the series. The teams last met in the 2003 season with the Pride earning an 8-6 victory over #7 Syracuse. The series began in the 1960 season in Hempstead with Syracuse earning the first win before Hofstra captured a 7-6 win in 1961 in the second-ever encounter.
