Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team hosts its second consecutive home game in five days when the Pride welcomes Iona to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex for a midweek, non-conference game on Thursday, December 7.
Tip-off against the Gaels is 7 p.m. The game will be of Hofstra Staff Appreciation Day, in appreciation of the staff members at Hofstra University.

Hofstra saw its record dip to 4-3 on the season following a 68-56 home loss against Lehigh this past Sunday.
Emma Von Essen tied a career-high with 18 points scored against the Mountain Hawks, and
Brooke Anya pulled down nine rebounds for the Pride.
Iona is 3-3 on the season following recent wins over Wagner and Providence. The Gaels Sierra DeAngelo currently leads the team with 12.8 points scored per game.
This will be the 19th all-time meeting on the court between Hofstra and Iona, and the series record sits at an even 9-9. The teams met last season in New Rochelle, and Iona came out on top 62-46.
