Hofstra Closes Out 2023 Against Manhattan in New Year’s Eve Clash

Hempstead, NY – For the final contest of 2023, the Hofstra women's basketball team will welcome in-state foe Manhattan to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex on Sunday, December 31.

FloHoops will air the video broadcast of Sunday's game, and WRHU will provide an audio-only broadcast on the HAWC. Links to the video and audio broadcasts, as well as to the live statistics, are available on this page and on the women's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.
 
Hofstra earned a 58-49 road win over Hampton on December 21 to push its record to 6-4 as the non-conference schedule winds down. Brooke Anya tallied a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, both career-highs, and Emma Von Essen scored 18 points for the Pride while positioning herself in a tie for sixth in the Coastal Athletic Association with 14.9 points per game.
 
Manhattan is 7-3 following a win over LIU on Thursday. Nitzan Amir leads the Jaspers with 12.8 points per game.
 
This will be the 10th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Manhattan, but the first since 2009; a 73-65 win for the Pride in Manhattan. The Pride are 7-2 all-time against the Jaspers.
