Hempstead, NY – Hofstra Head Women's Basketball Coach Danielle Santos Atkinson has announced the signing of Onna Brown to a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period.

"We're incredibly excited to welcome Onna Brown into our Pride Family," Santos Atkinson said. "Onna is an athletic scoring guard, with the ability to score on all three levels. She is tenacious with an unmatched enthusiasm for defense. She is a high-level competitor, with an outgoing personality, and a desire to be great. We are looking forward to the impact Onna will have on our program!"

A 5-10 forward from Portland, Oregon, Brown is a three-year member of the Benson Polytechnical High School girls' basketball team and was a key player in the Techsters' third-place finish at the 2022 6A OSAA State Championship Tournament, earning Honorable Mention All-Portland Interscholastic League (PIL). She was also named Second Team All-PIL as a freshman during the 2019-20 season. This past summer, Brown was selected to compete at the John Lucas Top 160 Invitational Camp, a prestigious invitation-only camp for elite domestic and international high school girls' basketball players.

At Hofstra, Brown intends to major in Business and minor in African American Studies.
