Reigning CAA Champion Hofstra Announces 2023 Schedule

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball program, the defending Colonial Athletic Association champions, and Head Coach Frank Catalanotto announced the 2023 schedule today. The 55-game schedule features 23 home games and includes games against two teams that advanced to NCAA Regionals in 2022.

The Pride will open the season February 17-19 at Florida Gulf Coast and then return home to host Albany in a three-game series from February 24-26. 

Hofstra will play eight consecutive road games to start the month of March, beginning with a four-game series at Nevada (March 3-5). The Pride will play at St. John's on March 8 and then open defense of their CAA title at Delaware from March 10-12. The team returns home for games against Saint Peter's (March 14) and Manhattan (March 15), and a series against William & Mary (March 17-19) before hitting the road for a pair at West Virginia (March 21-22) and three at North Carolina A&T (March 24-26).

Hofstra will welcome Stony Brook to University Field for three games from March 31-April 2 before a road game at Rutgers (April 4) and three at Charleston (April 7-9). The Pride then plays their longest homestand of the season, a seven-game stretch that features games against St. John's (April 11), Wagner (April 12), Towson (April 14-17), Iona (April 18), and Fairfield (April 19). The Pride will close the month with a series at Northeastern (April 21-23), road games against NCAA Regional participant LIU (April 25) and Manhattan (April 26), and a home series versus UNCW (April 28-30). 

May will see the Pride start with a three-game set at Monmouth (May 5-7). Hofstra then makes  a trip to NCAA Regional participant Connecticut (May 10) and plays a weekend series at Massachusetts-Lowell (May 12-14). Hofstra wraps up the regular season at home against Elon on May 19-20 with a single-game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday.   

The CAA Championship will take place May 24-27 at Charleston.
