Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team continues Colonial Athletic Association play with a noon road game against Towson on Tuesday, April 13, from Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Senior Ryan Tierney is closing in on a pair of career milestones coming into Tuesday. With 155 goals and 234 points, the stellar attackman is just four points from tying and five from breaking the all-time Hofstra points record of 238, held by Jerry Simandl (1952-55), and he is seven goals away from tying and eight from breaking the all-time CAA goals record of 162 held by Delaware's Curtis Dickson (2007-10). Tierney has already set the school record for career goals and the CAA record for career points this season.

Live video and audio broadcasts of Tuesday's game will be provided by Towson Sports Network. Links to these broadcasts, as well as a link to the live statistics, are available on this page and on the men's lacrosse schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

This marks the second meeting of the season between these two schools. In the previous meeting on April 3 at James M. Shuart Stadium, it was Hofstra who came out on top in an 8-7 win over the Tigers. Sophomore Justin Sykes scored three goals, including two in the fourth quarter, and Tierney had four points on one goal and three assists.

Hofstra enters Tuesday's fixture at 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the CAA following tight 12-11 road win over No. 19 Massachusetts on Friday (Apr. 9). Ranked No. 20 in the latest USILA Coaches poll, the Pride are led by Tierney in scoring, with 34 goals and 14 assists for 48 points. Graduate student Justin Lynskey is tied for the team-lead in assists with 14 and has added 17 goals to his total this season. Senior Brian Herber has been lights-out from the face-off circle in 2021, winning 65.9% of his face-offs (110-167) and has scooped up 64 ground balls. In net for Hofstra looks to be redshirt senior Bobby Casey, as he has gone 3-1 this season with 37 saves, a .474 save percentage and a 10.25 GAA.

Fresh off a 12-11 win over Fairfield on Saturday, Towson is 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference. James Avanzato leads the team in scoring with 27 points on 13 goals and 14 assists, while Brody McLean and Andrew Milani both have 20 goals on the year.

Hofstra leads the all-time series against Towson with a 28-23 record.
