BB: Jett Named CAA Pitcher Of The Week

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University pitcher Jack Jett has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office. The nod is the first of Jett's career.

The Reedville, Virginia, native went a career-long eight innings at La Salle this past Friday, limiting the Explorers to just one hit (an infield single) while striking out a career-best nine batters in a 7-0 Hofstra victory.

Jett, a graduate student, has allowed just one unearned run and five hits in 13 1/3 innings over two starts. He is 1-0 on the season with a 0.00 ERA, a 0.75 WHIP and a .116 batting average against.

Jett will likely take his next turn in the rotation this Friday at Villanova. Hofstra is 4-2 on the season.
