HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Hofstra University women's basketball looks to pick up its first win of the season on Wednesday, November 17 when it hosts Molloy College inside the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex at 7 p.m.

Hofstra (0-1) enters its home-opener after suffering a setback to UAlbany on November 10 to begin the season. Molloy enters Wednesday's matchup with a 1-1 record, defeating Chestnut Hill College before falling to Jefferson at the East Region Conference Challenge.
JaKayla Brown and
Jaylen Hines finished in double figures for the Pride against the Great Danes, netting 13 and 10 points, respectively. Brown added four assists while Hines pulled down four rebounds for the Blue and Gold.
For the Lions, Gabriella Aspuru leads the team in scoring at 18 points per game. Aspuru is averaging 37 minutes per game on the court and has added 2.5 blocks per game. Trinity Hudson and Maya Thomas are averaging double figures as well at 13.5 and 10.5 points per game, while Morgan Staab has 16 rebounds in just 47 minutes of action.
Hofstra and Molloy have faced each other four times with each of those four meetings taking place between 1979 and 1982. Hofstra is 4-0 all-time against the Lions.
