INSIDE THE SERIES
Drexel leads the all-time series over Hofstra, 42-31. Hofstra dropped both ends of the series last season to the Dragons, first at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, 61-49 and later in the season on the road, 62-39. The series dates all the way back to Hofstra's first season of Division I competition in 1982-83 and Hofstra won that contest, 76-70.

A WIN OVER DREXEL WOULD…
  • Give Hofstra its fourth win of the season and 32nd win over Drexel in program history
  • Give Hofstra its first CAA win of the season
  • Be the 718th known victory in the history of Hofstra women's basketball and 474th at the NCAA Division I level.
SCOUTING THE DREXEL DRAGONS (9-6, 2-1 CAA)
Drexel is coming off a contest where the Dragons defeated the Northeastern Huskies, 50-41 in a physical and defensive battle at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Friday. The win marks the second-straight win for the Dragons, who defeated UNCW in overtime, 73-72 on the road last week. Drexel dropped its CAA opener to Charleston last Friday.

The Dragons are led by 2018-19 CAA Player of the Year, Bailey Greenberg, averages 19.8 points per game and is responsible for nearly a third of Drexel's overall offense this entire season. Greenberg has reached double figures in scoring in all games except one, the most recent contest against Northeastern when she was limited to 2-of-11 from the field. Greenberg has posted 20 or more points seven times this season and 30 or more three times.

SCOUTING THE PRIDE (3-10, 0-2 CAA)
Hofstra is fighting for its first conference win of the season against Drexel on Sunday. The Pride are coming off a performance in which a pair of forwards reached double figures in scoring including redshirt sophomore Jaylen Hines who scored a team-high 15 points while Kalin finished with 10. Through the first two conference games, Hines leads the Pride with 13.5 points per game.

Overall, redshirt junior guard Ana Hernandez Gil leads the Pride in scoring this season with 10.0 points per game. Hines is shooting 48 percent on the year with 9.6 points and a team-high 8.2 boards per contest, and Kalin is among the top-three scorers and rebounders with 8.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per night.

UP NEXT
After not playing a game at the Mack Sports Complex in 27 days, Hofstra will return to its home floor for a Friday matinee against the William & Mary Tribe. The game will serve as Hofstra's annual Education Day where the Pride will welcome over 2,500 local elementary school children to the Mack Sports Complex. Tip-off against the Tribe is set for 11:30 a.m.
