INSIDE THE SERIES
Wednesday's matchup with the Bears is the third in Pride history, although the two teams have not met since the 1980 and 1981 seasons. Hofstra dropped both contests against Morgan State in the early '80's.
A WIN OVER MORGAN STATE WOULD…
- Give Hofstra its second win of the season and the first win over Morgan State in program history
- Be the 716th known victory in the history of Hofstra women's basketball and 472nd at the NCAA Division I level.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Morgan State (3-5), a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), is entering Wednesday's contest coming off two-straight losses. So far, Morgan State has earned wins against Notre Dame of Maryland (D3), Washington Adventist (NAIA), and Marshall.
Three players average double figures in scoring, led by Dahnye Redd who nets 16.3 points per game on 52 percent shooting.
