Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Lacrosse team kicks off their fall competition schedule this Saturday, October 5 when the Pride host the HEADstrong Foundation's 2019 Nicholas Colleluori Long Island Classic at James M. Shuart Stadium.

The four-team, four-scrimmage Long Island Classic features Hofstra, Navy, Marist, and Lehigh. After the Classic kicks off at 9 a.m. with Navy facing Marist, the Pride will face Navy, led by new head coach and Hofstra alumnus Joe Amplo, at 11 a.m.

After the HEADstrong Presentation at 1 p.m., Lehigh will face Marist at 1:30 p.m. before Hofstra takes on Lehigh at 3:30 p.m. to wrap up the day. Hofstra, Nick's alma mater, will be making its 13^th appearance in the Nick Colleluori Classic (NCC) series and will be hosting at Shuart Stadium for the fifth consecutive year.

9:00 a.m. –Navy vs. Marist
11:00 a.m. –Hofstra vs. Navy
1:00 p.m. – HEADstrong Presentation
1:30 p.m. – Lehigh vs. Marist
3:30 p.m. – Hofstra vs. Lehigh
 
Since 2007, HEADstrong has presented a series of fall collegiate men's and women's lacrosse philanthropic events. Originating at Ridley High School, Colleluori's scholastic alma mater, the series has expanded to multiple events overall that are hosted regionally in conjunction with collegiate partnerships.
