MSOC: Holland Makes MLS Debut With Houston Dynamo

Philadelphia – Hofstra Men's Soccer alum Joseph Holland made his Major League Soccer (MLS) debut with the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night in a match against the Philadelphia Union.

Holland came off the bench in the 78th minute, logging 12 minutes of playing time in a 2-0 loss for the Dynamo. Houston sits in second place in the Western Conference with a 6-4-1 record.

Holland scored his first professional goal on April 29 with the United Soccer League's Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, a minor league affiliate of the Dynamo.

With his Wednesday night debut, Holland becomes the second Hofstra alum to play in MLS after Gary Flood played 10 games for the New England Revolution between 2007 and 2008. Holland was the first Pride player to be selected in the MLS SuperDraft, going to the Dynamo with the 10th overall pick.
