WBB: Hofstra Continues Busy Week, Hosts Charleston Friday

Hempstead, N.Y. – Hofstra Women's Basketball will play its fourth game in eight days on Friday when College of Charleston makes the trip to Hempstead for a 7 p.m. contest at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Sports Complex.

Fans can purchase tickets by visiting HofstraTickets.com, where it is now possible to print their tickets at home. In addition, fans can also call (516) HOF-TIXX or visit the Hofstra Athletics Box Office in the Mack Sports Complex for more ticket information.

Pride Productions live video/audio of the game will be available with links on this page or via the women's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. The Pride Productions audio-only broadcast can be heard via the portal, on the WRHU mobile app, WRHU.org and on 88.7 FM in Hempstead and the surrounding areas.

The Pride (9-13, 2-9 Colonial Athletic Association) played William & Mary twice in three days, once at home and once on the road, with each team taking the win on their home court. The Tribe used a big second quarter to get past Hofstra on Tuesday night at Kaplan Arena. The Pride had three players finish in double figures in the loss, however, led by senior Krystal Luciano with 18 points, her third straight game in double digits. Junior Ashunae posted her 19th double-figure performance and freshman Marianne Kalin recorded a career high with 16 points each.

Charleston (8-14, 5-6 CAA) has won three of its last four, including beating the Pride, 71-55, on Jan. 27 in South Carolina. However, the Cougars will have to give up its conference wins against William & Mary and UNCW from early January prior to seeding for the CAA Tournament as a consequence for the use of improper basketballs in those games. Breanna Bolden leads the team in scoring and rebounding, with her 17.9 points per game ranking second in the conference and 8.9 boards per contest ranking third. As a team, the Cougars are shooting 39.9 percent from the field and averaging 64.7 points per game.

After the matchup with Charleston, the Pride will head back out on the road, travelling to Delaware on Sunday for a 5 p.m. game that will be televised by American Sports Network.
