Hempstead, N.Y. – After a stellar collegiate career, Hofstra Men's Soccer senior
Joseph Holland has been invited to the 2017 adidas Major League Soccer (MLS) Player Combine, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Holland is one of 53 players invited to the combine, which will take place from Jan. 8 through Jan. 12 in Los Angeles. The players invited will be vying for selection in the MLS Superdraft to be held Jan. 13 at the LA Convention Center.
Holland racked up a long list of accolades in his career, including being named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and a second-team National Soccer Coaches' Association All-American in 2015. The London, England, native is also a three-time All-CAA first-team selection, a two-time NSCAA all-region pick and the 2012 CAA Rookie of the Year.
In 79 games for the Pride, Holland amassed 19 goals and 28 assists for 66 points, helping lead Hofstra to back-to-back CAA regular season titles in 2015 and 2016 and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015.
