Hempstead, N.Y. – Hofstra Women's Basketball senior guard
Krystal Luciano has been named GoHofstra Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Pride to a 2-0 week, it was announced Tuesday morning.
Luciano played 81 minutes over the two-game span, averaging 10.5 points, eight assists and six rebounds over the span.
In Wednesday's 71-55 win over Massachusetts, she posted her second double-figure assist outing of the season, tallying 10 assists to mark her 400th career assist, becoming just the seventh player in program history to reach the milestone. Six of her assists that night came in the decisive fourth quarter when Hofstra outscored the Minutewomen, 30-7, to erase a deficit and take the win.
On Saturday, in a 72-67 overtime victory over American, she put up a season-high 14 points, including going 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
The Pride is currently on a hiatus for final exams and will return to action at 5 p.m. on Dec. 22 at St. Joseph's.
