Hempstead, NY - A 12-game home schedule highlights the 19-contest, 2015 Hofstra University Field Hockey schedule, Pride Head Field Hockey Coach

Hofstra, coming off a 12-7 season in 2014, will face three NCAA Division I Championship participants from a year ago as the Pride will take on NCAA Championship semifinalist, Albany on Tuesday, September 8, and Colonial Athletic Association champion and NCAA Championship play-in team, Delaware, on Friday, October 9. Both games are at the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium.
The Pride will also face America East Conference champion and NCAA Championship participant Boston University on Saturday, September 5 at the University of Maine.
Hofstra's schedule begins with an exhibition game at Monmouth University on Friday, August 21 before the season starts for real with back-to-back home games against Vermont on Friday, August 28 and Colgate on Sunday, August 30.
After a two-game road trip to Maine where they will play the host Black Bears of Maine on September 4 and Boston University on September 5, the Pride will return home for a four-game homestand that will see them face Albany, which was 20-3 last season, on Tuesday, September 8, Rider on Friday, September 11, UC Davis on Sunday, September 13 and UMass-Lowell on Friday, September 18.
After a mid-week road contest at Fairfield on Wednesday, September 23, Hofstra begins a three-game homestand which will see three Connecticut schools visit Hempstead beginning with Quinnipiac on Friday, September 25, Yale on Sunday, September 27 and Sacred Heart on Friday, October 2.
The Pride will conclude their non-conference schedule on Sunday, October 4 at Columbia, which posted a 12-5 mark in 2014, before starting their CAA schedule with a two-game home weekend against Delaware on Friday, October 9 and Towson on Sunday, October 11.
After a 12-day break, Hofstra returns to action and will travel to Northeastern on Friday, October 23 before returning to Hempstead on Sunday, October 25 for Senior Day against the Dragons of Drexel. The Pride wrap up the regular season with road games at William and Mary on Friday, October 30 and at James Madison on November 1.
The top four teams during the conference regular season will advance to the CAA Championship at the home of the number one seed on Friday, November 6 and Sunday, November 8.
Hofstra, which graduated three players including CAA Player of the Year
Jonel Boileau from the 2014 squad, returns 20 student-athletes including nine starters from last year's team.
