Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra field hockey team makes its return to the Coastal Athletic Association Championship for the first time since 2015, as the fourth-seeded Pride take on top-seed and two-time defending regular season champions Monmouth in the semifinals on Friday, November 7, at 10 a.m. from West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Hofstra (9-8, 2-3 CAA) makes its return to the CAA Championship after winning 4-2 over Towson on Friday in the final game of the 2025 regular season.
Jaime Lewis led the Pride with two goals – including the go-ahead tally in the second quarter – against the Tigers, while
Teresa Karoff registered her CAA-leading 13th goal of the season, and
Pilar Penaloza scored her first goal of 2025.
Gwenn van Dijk dished out her 10th assist of the season on Lewis' first goal, and
Luci Hollister made four saves to pick up the eighth win of her freshman campaign.
Ranked #12 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, Monmouth claimed its second consecutive CAA regular season title with a 4-1 win over Northeastern, giving the Hawks a perfect 5-0 conference mark and an overall record of 12-3 entering the CAA Championship on home turf.
Hofstra holds an all-time record of 6-8 against Monmouth.
Friday's winner will move on the championship game on Sunday, November 9, at 12 p.m., where they will face the winner of #3 Drexel-#2 Northeastern.
