BB: Hofstra Looks To Snap Losing Skid At NYIT

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Baseball Team will look to snap a four-game losing streak Tuesday afternoon when it travels to NYIT for a 3:30 p.m. meeting with the Bears at Lorenzo Memorial Field.

Hofstra (9-16) is coming off being swept at College of Charleston this past weekend. The sweep capped an 0-4 week for the Pride, which also featured a loss to Fairfield. NYIT (4-11) enters the game on a three-game losing streak after dropping three games to NJIT this past weekend.

The Pride holds a 24-21-2 advantage in their series with the Bears and has won eight consecutive contests. Hofstra won twice last season, 3-2, at home thanks to a two-run walk-off home run by Robbie Cafiero, and 13-1 at NYIT behind three hits and four RBIs from Eric Ferguson.

Freshman Adam Seibert, who is 0-0 with a 3.75 ERA in eight relief appearances, will make his first career start in the contest.

After playing NYIT, the Pride return home for a weekend series against CAA rival Towson.
