Hempstead, NY – After a one-day postponement due to anticipated frigid temperatures in the metropolitan area, the Hofstra Men's Lacrosse team will return to action this Saturday, February 21 when the Pride travel to Princeton University. Game time at Class of '52 Stadium is 3 p.m.
Saturday's game will be televised on ESPN3. The game will be shown on a tape delay on ESPNU on Sunday at 8 a.m. The game can also be heard via Pride Productions with Julian Coltre and Anthony Santaniello describing the action beginning with the pregame show at 2:45 p.m.
Hofstra is coming off an 11-10 loss to Marquette in the season opener at James M. Shuart Stadium last Saturday. The Pride let an 8-4 lead in the third quarter slip away as the Golden Eagles tied the game with 2:46 to play and notched the game-winner with 1:18 remaining to record their second consecutive victory over Hofstra in the Pride season opener.

Brier Davis added three goals to lead Hofstra. It was the second career hat-trick for Davis after he tallied three goals against Georgetown last season. Senior midfielder

Chris Selva recorded 12 saves in the Hofstra cage.
The Tigers of Princeton University enter the game on Saturday with a 1-0 mark on the season following their 14-4 victory over Manhattan last Saturday. The Tigers are ranked 20th in the Cascade/Maverik Media Poll and are receiving votes in the USILA Coaches Poll this week.
In the win over the Jaspers of Manhattan last weekend, Princeton received four goals from junior attackman Ryan Ambler, two goals and three assists from senior attackman Mike MacDonald and three assists from junior midfielder Jake Froccaro. Senior Eric Sanschagrin recorded nine saves in 45 minutes of action and allowed just two goals in the Tiger cage.
The Tigers, led by head coach Chris Bates are coming off a 7-6 season last year that included a 12-10 victory over the Pride at Class of '52 Stadium on February 22, 2014. In that game, Hofstra's
Sam Llinares tallied three goals and two assists and
Korey Hendrickson added two goals but the Tigers received four goals and one assist from MacDonald, three goals and two assists from Tom Schreiber, and Ambler dished out five assists to lead the Tigers to victory.
Saturday's game is the 29th meeting between Hofstra and Princeton in a series that started in 1972. The Tigers lead the series, 15-13 and have won the last three meetings.
Following the Princeton contest, Hofstra returns home to James M. Shuart Stadium for a Tuesday afternoon contest against Manhattan. Game time is 4 p.m.
