Lorenzo Varona had an outstanding tournament for Team Puerto Rico at the World Lacrosse Men's U20 World Championship on Jeju Island, Korea that concluded recently.
Varona tied for the tournament-high honors at the championship with 23 goals as he helped guide Puerto Rico to a sixth place finish.
Varona had multiple goals in six of the games, including five against Kenya, The Netherlands, and England. He had a personal tournament-high six points versus Kenya and added five ground balls against The Netherlands.
Puerto Rico went 5-2 at the tournament.
Varona played in 13 games for Hofstra in 2025 and contributed five points on three goals and two assists, while also chipping in with four ground balls.
