Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team earned the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team Academic Award and
Trevor Natalie garnered USILA Scholar All-American accolades, it was announced today by the organization.
To earn Scholar All-American accolades, a student-athlete must be a senior academically with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0. In addition, he must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.
For a team to be recognized with the Team Academic Award, the squad must have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0.
Natalie, a finance major, holds a 3.51 grade point average. An All-CAA First Team selection this season, he was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team last month.
Hofstra was one of only 34 schools at the NCAA Division I level to earn the USILA Team Academic Award.
