MSOC: Pray And Firth Earn NSCAA All-Region Academic Honorable Mention Honors

Hempstead, N.Y. – Hofstra junior goalkeeper Patric Pray and senior midfielder Elliott Firth were named honorable mention honorees to the 2014 NSCAA Men's University Division Scholar All-East Region team.

Pray earned a spot to the Colonial Athletic Association all-academic squad. On the field, the netminder went 9-5-3 with seven shutouts and a .800 save percentage. Pray started 18 of the team's 19 games and posted 68 saves with a 0.95 goals-against-average. The finance major recorded a 3.34 grade-point-average.

Firth, who is also a finance major, recorded a 3.35 grade-point-average. The Sheffield, England native was a third-team All-CAA selection for a second consecutive season after tying a career high with two goals and a personal-best seven points while logging more than 1,400 minutes.
