Hofstra Starts Second Half Of CAA Schedule Saturday

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team begins the second half of their CAA schedule Saturday night when it hosts Northeastern. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the game airing on MSG Network as well as streaming live on FloCollege. There will also be an audio-only broadcast on WRHU-FM (88.7) in addition to live statistics. 

Saturday's game will also serve as Hofstra's Alumni Night, with the conference championship teams of 1985, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2015 being recognized at halftime. Prior to the game, at 5 p.m., Hofstra will dedicate the Ferriso Family Alumni Patio in honor of former men's soccer and men's lacrosse student-athlete Joe Ferriso.

Hofstra enters the contest with a record of 6-4 overall and a 3-1 mark in the CAA. Hofstra has won two consecutive games and sit atop the league's North Division standings. The Pride defeated Northeastern, 3-1, in Brookline, Massachusetts on September 7 to open CAA play. Laurie Goddard scored twice, while Daniel Burko added a goal as well. Stefano Campisi collected two assists and Gino Cervoni tallied three saves in his first career start. Ethan Kang had the lone goal of the day for the Huskies. 

Northeastern is 2-5-2 overall and 1-3 in CAA play. The Huskies are coming off a 2-0 loss to Stony Brook this past Saturday. 

Hofstra is 15-14-3 all-time against Northeastern.
