Hempstead, NY - Sophomore outfielder Kenny Jackson has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Co-Player of the Week it was announced today by the conference office.
Jackson batted .611 (11-18) with two doubles, a home run, three runs
scored and four RBIs in Hofstra's 3-1 week on the road. He had multiple hits in
all four games including a four-hit afternoon in an 11-3 win over Delaware State Saturday.
Currently riding an eight-game hitting streak in which he is batting .514 (18-35), Jackson has raised his average from .193 to its current .315.
Jackson and the rest of his Pride teammates are back in action this week with four games on tap. The Pride (13-12) host Albany Wednesday and then welcome Georgia State to town for a three-game series this weekend.
The oter recipient of the award was VCU third baseman Joey Cujas.
