Island Harvest, Long Island's source authority on food rescue, is once again collaborating with Hofstra University in its fight to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island. Fans attending the Pride's men's lacrosse game at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16th against the 10th-ranked University of North Carolina are invited to bring donations of non-perishable canned or packaged foods to help feed Long Islanders in need.
Local high school and junior high coaches are encouraged to invite their lacrosse teams to attend the game and donate to Island Harvest. Donors will receive a poster of the 2005 Hofstra Men's Lacrosse Team for their generous contribution. Food collection bins will be located at the entrances of the James M. Shuart Stadium.
