Hempstead, NY - Following two early season tournaments on the road, the Hofstra volleyball team will return home and host the Hofstra Invitational this weekend.
The Pride will welcome Liberty, Army West Point, and Fairfield to David S. Mack Physical Education Center.
The Pride will face Liberty on Friday at 4 p.m. before taking on Army West Point on Saturday at 5 p.m.
All five matches at the Hofstra Invitational will air on FloCollege. Both Hofstra matches will also air on WRHU (HAWC) and the Pride's Saturday encounter with Army West Point will be televised on MSGSN.
The Pride is 4-2 this season with wins over High Point, Connecticut, Santa Clara, and Manhattan. Hofstra suffered its defeats to #10 Penn State and Yale. Most recently, Hofstra went 2-1 at the Yale Invitational last weekend. The Pride had a pair of all-tournament selections at Yale as
Ellie Pamatat and
Constanza Perez Sain garnered the honor.
Hofstra is 0-1 all-time against Liberty and 8-3 all-time against Army West Point. The only previous meeting with Liberty was a four-set loss in 2017. This will mark the third consecutive season in which Hofstra and Army West Point meet with the Pride having won two straight in the series. Last season's meeting was a five-set victory.
