Hempstead, NY - Constanza Perez Sain was outstanding with a career-high-tying 19 kills, while Beatriz Braga added 18 kills and 11 digs and Ellie Pamatat posted 39 assists to lead the Hofstra volleyball team to a reverse sweep of Army West Point on Saturday evening at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center.

Julia Amorim posted a match-high eight blocks in the contest to lead a strong defensive effort for the Pride.

The win moves Hofstra's record to 5-3 this season, while Army West Point dropped to 6-3 with the defeat. Set scores were 18-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, and 15-11. The match was the final non-conference contest of the season for the Pride.

It was the defense that got Hofstra on the scoreboard in the third set as the Pride held the Black Knights to a .067 hitting percentage. Once the match moved to the fourth and fifth set, Hofstra's offense went into overdrive as the Pride hit .394 in the fourth set before hitting at a .500 clip in the decisive fifth and final stanza. Hofstra had eight kills on 16 attempts with no errors in the fifth set.

The pivotal fourth set saw Perez Sain (seven) and Braga (five) combined for 12 kills.
