Hofstra Wraps Up Non-Conference Slate; Starts CAA Play This Weekend

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team hosts a pair of games beginning Thursday night when Seton Hall visits Captains Field at 7 p.m. The Pride then host Towson Sunday at 1 p.m. in the start of CAA play.

Thursday's game will air on MSG Network as well as stream live on FloCollege and Amazon Prime Video. Sunday's game will stream on FloCollege. Live statistics will be available for both games. 

Hofstra is 1-5-1 on the season and is coming off a 2-1 loss to Brown this past Sunday. Amy Meadows scored for the Pride, her team-best third goal of the season. 

Seton Hall enters Thursday's game with a 4-0-1 record and is coming off a scoreless draw against Wagner on September 10. The Pirates are led by Gianna Angelillo with three goals and two assists, while Kileigh Gorman has three goals as well. Seton Hall allows 0.20 goals per game and primary keeper Kate Kleinsmith has a 0.29 goals against average and two shutouts. 

Towson enters conference play with a 3-3-2 record. The Tigers lost to Penn, 1-0, in their last outing this past Sunday. Preseason CAA Player of the Year Kale'a Perry leads the team in scoring with two goals and one assist. 

Hofstra is 1-0-0 all-time versus Seton Hall with the prior meeting occurring during the 1994 season, a 3-0 Pride victory. The Pride is 27-3-2 all-time versus Towson. The teams tied 1-1 last season in Maryland. 

Following Sunday's game, the Pride will start a southern road trip at Campbell (Sept. 24) and Elon (Sept. 27).
