Hofstra Opens Home Schedule Thursday Versus Columbia

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team opens their home schedule Thursday night when they host Columbia at Captains Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The game will be streamed live on FloCollege with live statistics also available. Links for both can be found above or on the women's soccer schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

The Pride (0-1) will be looking to move into the win column following a season-opening 3-1 loss at Saint Joseph's this past Saturday. Amy Meadows had her first career goal with Emma Johnson notching the assist. Lilly Bailey had two saves in goal. 

Columbia will be playing its first game of the season. The Lions went 6-7-3 last season including a 2-1 home loss to the Pride on Aug. 22. The Pride rallied from a goal down in the second half with Alexia Des Croisselles scoring the equalizer before an own goal gave the Pride the 2-1 advantage. 

The Pride is 11-6-3 all-time against the Lions.

Following Thursday's game, Hofstra will return to action Aug. 27 at home versus Fordham.
