Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team closes out the regular season with a key CAA matchup at Stony Brook. The three-game series, which holds major CAA Championship implications, gets underway Thursday at 3 p.m. at Joe Nathan Field. The series continues Friday at 2 p.m. and concludes Saturday at 1 p.m. All three games will stream live on FloCollege.

Both Hofstra and Stony Brook are among three teams vying for the final two spots in the CAA Championship, which are determined by RPI ranking. Hofstra enters the series with an RPI of 155, while Charleston is at 157 and Stony Brook is at 159. The Cougars play host to William & Mary this weekend.

The Pride is 18-26 overall and is 12-15 in the CAA. Hofstra is coming off a 2-1 series loss to Monmouth this past weekend. Stony Brook is 20-28 overall and 12-15 in league play. The Seawolves were swept at Northeastern this past weekend.

Hofstra and Stony Brook met earlier this season in a three-game set at University Field with the Seawolves winning two of three games. The Pride won the series opener, 11-5, before dropping the final two contests (5-0 and 12-11 in 10 innings).

The CAA Championship gets underway Wednesday at UNCW with the Championship Game scheduled Saturday.
