Shea Kennedy was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office.
Kennedy was spectacular once again for the Pride in net as he helped the team to a 13-6 CAA victory over Fairfield on Saturday.
Kennedy tallied 15 saves and added a pair of ground balls in the win.
Kennedy was especially strong after halftime as he had 10 of his saves in the final 30 minutes to hold off any thoughts of a Fairfield comeback.
Kennedy had double figures in saves for the seventh time this season and 17th time in his career.
