Pride Honors Seniors, Hosts William & Mary In Regular Season Finale

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's lacrosse team will look to finish the regular season in style when the Pride hosts William & Mary on Saturday. 

Opening draw control from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 12 p.m. Prior to the game the program will honor its four seniors with the ceremony taking place at approximately 11:40 a.m. Being recognized pregame will be Luchianna Cardello, Julia Harris, Nikki Mennella, and Madeleine Rudolph

Hofstra will bring a 9-6 overall record and a stellar 5-1 CAA mark into the final game of the regular season. The Pride has won four of its last five games and is coming off a 15-4 road loss to Stony Brook last Friday. Christine Dannenfelser was exceptional with six ground balls and four caused turnovers in the contest, while Mennella posted three points on two goals and one assist. 

William & Mary is 7-8 and 2-4 in the league heading into Saturday's showdown. The Tribe has lost four straight and is coming off a narrow 10-8 loss to Campbell last Saturday. Kate Draddy had four points on two goals and two assists to pace the Tribe. 

Hofstra leads the all-time series with William & Mary, 16-7. The Pride has won two straight and nine of the last 10 meetings between the teams. Hofstra won last season's meeting, 11-7, in Williamsburg as Mennella had five points on three goals and two assists.
