Hempstead, NY - Hofstra senior
Anthony Mollica had a career day against UMBC on Saturday and was rewarded with the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week Award, it was announced today by the conference office.
Mollica had his best game of the season in Saturday's narrow 11-10 win over UMBC.
Mollica poured in a career-high six goals and added a pair of ground balls in the win.
His goal with 11:24 remaining would also prove to be the game-winner as it gave the Pride an 11-8 lead at the time.
The hat trick was Mollica's first this season and eighth of his career, and also marked the second time in his career he has scored five or more goals in a game. The six goals are the most by a Pride player since
Drew Bogardus had seven against St. John's on February 22, 2025.
