Hofstra Returns Home For Pair Of CAA Games

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team, unbeaten in their last five games, return home to host a pair of CAA games this week starting Thursday night versus William & Mary at 7 p.m. The Pride will then host Hampton Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will stream live on FloCollege. 

Hofstra enters the week 3-5-4 overall and 2-0-2 in league play. The Pride is 2-0-3 in its last five outings dating back to September 17. Hofstra is coming off a 2-1 victory this past Sunday at Northeastern with Alexia Bromfield and Alexia Des Croisselles scoring for the Pride. 

William & Mary is 3-5-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the CAA. The Tribe has won two consecutive games, the last a 2-0 win over Campbell last Friday night. Hampton is currently 2-9-1 overall and 0-4-0 in league action. The Pirates play at Stony Brook Thursday night. 

Hofstra is 10-13-4 all-time against William & Mary and 3-0-0 versus Hampton. Hofstra last played the Tribe in 2024, winning 2-0 behind a pair of first half goals from Millie Davies. The Pride also played Hampton last in 2024, winning 2-0 behind goals from Mathilde Braithwaite and Gabriella Marte. 

At Thursday's game, Hofstra will be raising awareness for DIPG and the ChadTough Foundation in honor of Callie Montera, the daughter of Hofstra women's soccer alumnus Danielle (Braico) Montera, who lost her fight against this aggressive brain tumor in 2020 at the age of 8.
