Hofstra Earns Point On Road After Draw At Campbell

Buies Creek, NC - Hailey Moschitta scored her first goal of the season at 16:21 of the first half to tie the score at one and neither team would find the back of the net again as Hofstra and Campbell played to a 1-1 draw in a CAA game Thursday night at Eakes Athletics Complex. 

Hofstra moved to 2-5-3 overall and 1-0-1 in CAA play with the draw. The Camels are 3-5-3 overall and 0-1-1 in league play.

Grace Bannon put Campbell on the board just 5:26 into the contest as she converted a pass from Abby Connolly for a 1-0 lead. Moschitta equalized just about 11 minutes later as a deflected pass off a Campbell defender landed at her feet and she sent a right-footed shot from 21 yards over the head of keeper Anais Van Doesburg, who had come off her line. 

Lilly Bailey made three saves for the Pride, while Van Doesburg had five stops for the Camels. 

Hofstra returns to action Sunday at Elon with a 1 p.m. start time. 

Notes:
-Hofstra is 1-1-2 all-time against Campbell and has tied the last two meetings.
-The Pride had a season-high 15 shots.
-Campbell had 11 corner kicks.
