Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team returns to action Saturday night when it hosts Stony Brook in a CAA game at Captains Field. The game begins at 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on FloCollege.

The game marks the start of the second half of the CAA North Division schedule for the Pride (7-1-2, 2-0-2 CAA). Hofstra opened CAA play at Stony Brook on August 29 with the teams playing to a 1-1 tie. Bastian Carlman scored for the Pride, but Stony Brook's Sebastian Drummond scored the equalizer at 78:23.

Hofstra, which is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll,  is riding a three-game winning streak and is coming off a 4-1 victory over Northeastern this past Monday. The four goals, scored by four different players, were a season-high for the Pride. Henri Poll, Axel Ruben, Marc Perkuhn, and Ben Schulz each had goals for the Pride in the win. Joel Bona added two assists, while Schulz, James York, and Charlie Blair had one assist each. Milo Risenhoover made three saves.

Stony Brook is 4-1-5 overall and 1-1-2 in the CAA. The Seawolves have won two consecutive games, including a 2-1 victory over Monmouth this past Monday. Ryan Farr scored his team-best fifth of the season at 69:02 to snap a 1-1 tie.

Hofstra is 21-13-8 all-time against Stony Brook.

Following Saturday's game, the Pride closes a three-game homestand Tuesday night against Princeton, which is also receiving votes in the coaches poll. That game will stream on FloCollege and Amazon Prime Video.
