Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will head on the road for a big showdown as the Pride will take its six-game win streak south when they take on preseason favorite Towson on Thursday.
Tip-off from SECU Arena is a rare 12:30 p.m. start.
The game will air on FloCollege and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on 88.7 FM as well. Links to both, as well as the live statistics can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule on GoHofstra.com.
Hofstra will take an 11-4 overall record and a 2-0 CAA mark into Thursday's game. The Pride has opened conference play with a home win over Campbell followed by last Saturday's 70-67 road victory at Drexel.
Cruz Davis led Hofstra with 20 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the win over the Dragons, while
Preston Edmead added 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
Towson is 8-8 and 0-3 in the league. The Tigers have dropped CAA contests to William & Mary, Hampton, and Monmouth to open the conference slate. Dylan Williamson had 11 points against Monmouth to lead the way, while Jaquan Womack added 10 points for the Tigers in the 62-48 setback.
One of Hofstra's oldest rivals, the Pride and the Tigers will be meeting for the 80th time on Thursday. Hofstra leads the all-time series, 48-31, in a series that began during the 1982-83 campaign. The Pride has won two of the last three and nine of the last 15 meetings between the teams.
