Hempstead, NY - Hofstra men's basketball associate head coach
Mike DePaoli has been named to the seventh annual Silver Waves Media 100 Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistants List, it was announced by the organization today.
DePaoli was lauded as one of the most impactful mid-major assistant coaches in the industry by Silver Waves, which puts out the list annually.
DePaoli is in his fifth year on the Hofstra men's basketball staff and his first as associate head coach. He spent the first four years as an assistant coach. It is his second stint with the program as he previously served as a graduate assistant with the Pride.
Over the past four seasons, DePaoli has been part of a staff that has won 20 or more games in three consecutive seasons under the direction of Head Coach
Speedy Claxton. In 2021-22, Hofstra won 21 games in Claxton's rookie campaign and in 2022-23 the Pride won 25 games, captured the regular season Colonial Athletic Association crown, and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament after defeating Rutgers in the first round.
DePaoli and his wife, Lisa, live in Smithtown, New York, with their daughter, Liliana, and their two sons, Michael and Dominic.
